This painting has been a six month exploration into portraiture. 

Included in the carousal of images I have included all the reiterations (some of them very unattractive!) of the process. The first idea was for the woman to wear furry coats and sunglasses, quite the juxtaposition to where I live in Bali....this soon changed to dresses sans glasses.

It is also the first oil painting......love discovering what oils can achieve.

The canvas background is very textured with repeated patterns and grids.

My work is very experimental as it's more fun to keep changing and evolving.
